Calzedonia and WWF Italy renew their collaboration to clean more than 3.000.000 sqm of Italian beaches and coasts from waste. With more than 100 events and locations, we will preserve the marine fauna and the beauty of the Mediterranean Sea.
Since 2021 Calzedonia Germany has been supporting SOS Children's Villages in Germany. 50% of the proceeds from the sale of the annual Calzedonia Charity Socks have gone directly into the new building of the SOS Children's Village Centre in Düsseldorf in 2018, 2019 and 2020. Thus, more than 70,000€ have already been collected.
Calzedonia Portugal promoted, for the fourth consecutive year in partnership with the television channel TVI, the solidarity campaign "Natal a Meias". In 2021, 120 thousand socks were sold, resulting in a donation of 300 thousand euros that will materialize in 3 ambulances and 245 personal protective suits, to the Portuguese Fire Brigade.
Safeguarding the sea with small actions for a big change. Committing today to a more responsible tomorrow. During summer 2021 Calzedonia Italy and WWF Italy joined forces to clean Italian beaches and coasts from waste: 6,500,000 m² of cleared areas, 11 km of cleared seabed and 1,695 bags of waste collected.
Calzedonia Portugal has chosen to promote a social solidarity campaign in November and December, linked to the Christmas period: Natal a Meias. The campaign’s name is a play-on-words in Portuguese, where the word “Meias” has the double meaning of “stockings” and “halfway”, and “Natal” means “Christmas”, hence “Christmas with stockings” and “halfway Christmas”. In 2020, 100,000 socks were sold and € 250,000 was donated to the national fire-fighters’ association.
In 2019 Calzedonia Germany collaborated with Plant My Tree association and the influencer Pamela Reif to increase awareness about the new eco tights made with Qnova by Fulgar recycled yard. Calzedonia has committed to plant a tree for every 10 pairs of tights sold. Thanks to the involvement of our customers, 10,000 trees have been planted in the region of Assia.
